The idea behind the blog

I created this blog in an attempt to get some fresh ideas for lunches. I think Eva is getting tired of salami with slices of cheese and pieces of wheat bread. The lunches are coming back untouched some days, or just picked on. With all the fresh ingredients around us at farmer's markets and the near by Berkeley Bowl, I should be able to feed my child well. Right? I hope you would all contribute and share your ideas on packing a good lunch for our children. Simple, healthy, quick ways to put a lunch together that our kids will eat.

  1. Great to see this. I'm bookmarking you now!

I struggle with the same thing. One nice things is that they will warm up lunches at Adeline's nursery school so she eats lots of leftovers.

Today though she went with tomatoes tossed with white beans and mozzerella cheese and some sliced up chorizo. We had the same salad for dinner last night but ours had red onion and was tossed with pesto. She's not a pesto fan so her's is plain.

I sent her with a tortilla roll-up earlier this week with turkey and cheese rolled up and sliced and she ate it right up. I think sometimes its how its presented more than what it is!
